Portside Fundraiser at Fort Defiance


On Tuesday, July 30, John Frizzell's Red Hook bar Fort Defiance, at 365 Van Brunt Street, named for the Revolutionary-era fort in Red Hook, will host a fundraiser for local waterfront advocacy organization Portside.

Portside, headquartered aboard historic retired tanker The Mary A. Whalen, is searching for a new anchorage, having been forced to give up its berth at the Red Hook Container
