The Brooklyn District Attorney's office will expand its Conviction Integrity Unit into a blue-ribbon panel tasked with reviewing 50 murder convictions linked to retired NYPD detective Lou Scarcella, the 26-year veteran whose tainted murder investigation put David Ranta in jail for 23 years.
