The City's Hospital Closure Crisis

The State Department of Health has rejected a reorganization plan from Bedford-Stuyvesant's Interfaith Hospital, putting Interfaith, like Long Island College Hospital in nearby Cobble Hill, at imminent risk of closure.

After an unsuccessful attempt to merge with another struggling Brooklyn hospital, Wykoff Heights, Interfaith is due to present a revised proposal to the State Health
