Apple Pie Bake-Off at Bay Ridge Greenmarket

I'm crazy about apples. And where there's apples, pies cannot be far behind.

On Saturday, November 23, the Bay Ridge Greenmarket, at Walgreen's parking lot at the corner of 95th and 3rd Avenue in Bay Ridge, will host an Apple Pie Bake-Off.

A Tree to Grow in Brooklyn

Council Member Vinnie Gentile, partnered with the New York Restoration Project to accelerate MillionTreesNYC, the country's biggest municipal tree giveaway program, will host a "Tree for All" giveaway from 10 AM to 12 Noon on October 12, 2013 at the Bay Ridge Greenmarket, in Walgreen's parking lot at 95th Street and 3rd Avenue in Bay Ridge.

You are invited to the Bay Ridge Greenmarket tomorrow, Saturday, September 21, from 11 AM to 1 PM, to watch guest chef Allison Robicelli whip up a batch of her delicious honey caramel with locally-produced Apple Blossom Honey from Greenmarket vendor Toigo.

The Greenmarket, in the Walgreen's Parking lot at 3rd Avenue and 95th Street in Bay Ridge, is open from 8 AM to 3 PM.

Strawberry Shortcake Eating Contest at Bay Ridge Greenmarket

As you know, Southern Brooklyn has a bit of a reputation as a competitive eating destination, what with the annual Brooklyn Pizza Eating Contest and Coney Island Hot Dog Eating Contest.
