The firehouse in the photo at right, at 9219 5th Avenue in Bay Ridge, looked empty and abandoned when I walked by over the weekend.

Sure enough, according to a post on the Community Board 10 website dated March 22, 2013, FDNY Engine Co. 242, "The Pride of Bay Ridge", once located at 9219 Fifth Avenue, has been moved to Engine Co. 241, at 6630 Third Avenue
