Hynes: "I'm Out"



In a New York Law Journal interview today, Brooklyn District Attorney Charlie Hynes, who lost the Democratic Primary to Ken Thompson earlier this month, said he won't campaign on the Republican or the Conservative lines in the November general election, as Republican and Conservative supporters have urged him to do.

Failed Messiah Makes a Quirky Connection



In a recent post, muck-raking haredi Brooklyn blogger Failed Messiah, a foe of Brooklyn D.A. Charlie Hynes, attributed an insulting email calling him an "asshole" to the family of Dennis Quirk, who heads the New York State Court Officers Union and is a major Hynes campaign contributor.

Quirk, waggishly dubbed "The King of the Courts", is known for ad hominem attacks on sitting judges. Quirk
