50 Years Later, Glass Ceiling Still Unbroken

According to an email blast from Gov. Andrew Cuomo, the federal Equal Pay Act was signed into law 50 years ago today.

In 2013, women in New York State earn 84% of what their male counterparts earn. A woman, over the course of her working lifetime, will earn $500,000 less than a man, which has major implications for older women.
