Texting While Driving Now Worth 5 Points



As of June 1, the State Department of Motor Vehicles is imposing tougher penalties for talking on your cell phone or texting while driving.

Now, if you're convicted of using your cell phone to talk or text while driving, the DMV will add 5 points to your driving record, a 2 point increase over the old penalty.
