George Quits the Race for Brooklyn DA

Abe George announced today that he is dropping out of the race for Brooklyn District Attorney to throw his support behind fellow Democratic challenger Ken Thompson, ensuring a one-on-one between longtime incumbent Charlie Hynes and Thompson.

George's exit makes it a tougher race for the 78-year-old Hynes, in office since 1990. George and Thompson were expected to split Brookyn's minority vote.
